Me: I’d love to, but I’ll have to figure out a sitter for Carson and I’ll need time to find something to wear.

Landon: Don’t worry about the dress. I’ll take care of it, just find a sitter for the entire night.

Me: Okay. I’ll text my parents now.

Landon: Alright babe, I’m heading into practice. Come by the house when you get off, we can grill and swim.

My students shuffle in one by one and I turn my focus back on their education, and move onto a math quiz we’ve been planning all week.

  Chapter Fourteen

When school releases I wait for Carson to make his way to my room like he does every afternoon. He doesn’t know that we are going to Landon’s so he will be excited; I just need to stop by my house first and get our swimsuits.

“Hi, Momma,” Carson says as he steps into the room. His backpack is the first thing he drops, right in the center of the doorway.

“Carson.” I roll my eyes as I’m gathering my papers up to take home for the night. “Pick that up, we aren’t staying late today.”

He stomps back over to his back and throws it over his shoulder.

  “Where we going?”

“Landon’s house. He has practice but we are going to swim and grill tonight.”

“YES!” he shouts and darts out of the room as I make my way to the door.

Landon gave me the garage opener for my visor and told me to pull into the first bay door when I arrived. There’s a black car parked in the front of the house, but I don’t think much about it as I hit the garage door opener button and watch the door slowly rise. Carson is bouncing up and down in the backseat and has the door open before I’m fully in park.

I enter through the side door of the garage and notice that his laundry area is now clean. His bags that were scattered everywhere are neatly stacked in the corner and a fresh pile of laundry sits on top of the washer. He must have found a new cleaning service, and thank goodness he did.

We step into the kitchen and I place my bags on the island countertop before grabbing the towels and sunscreen that Landon set out. When I turn, I scream; my hand clutches my chest and I grab ahold of the counter. A woman is sitting at the couch, a glass of wine in her hand.

“I’m so sorry I scared you. I thought you saw me when you walked in.” She stands. She’s tall, and undeniably beautiful. I stare at her closely and realize this is Landon’s mother, the woman from the photograph in the bedroom with his sister.

“I am sorry. I shouldn’t have screamed like that.” I laugh as I walk toward her to meet her halfway.

“I’m Laura. It’s nice to meet the young woman who has my son so smitten.” She smiles before turning her attention to Carson. “And you must be Carson. I’ve heard very good things about you.”

“I’m Kelsi, this is my son.” I gesture to Carson, who has already started walking away to look out the back doors at the pool. “I didn’t realize you were coming in or I’d have let you have the night with Landon.”

“Oh nonsense. Landon doesn’t know I’m here, hell I’m not even sure Layla knows I’m here. I have the garage code so I let myself in. She wasn’t in her guest house when I arrived, so I’ve been sitting here sipping wine waiting on one of them to get home.” She gestures toward the backyard, so I follow.

Carson wastes no time jumping into the pool. Landon has a box of pool toys sitting near the pool full of floaties, goggles, diving toys, and water guns.

“Mom?” Laura and I both turn at the name. “What are you doing here?” Layla asks as she walks the sidewalk from her pool house to where we are standing. “I didn’t know you were coming in.”

She raises her arms when she gets close, wrapping her mother in a hug. They squeeze each other tightly before releasing one another.

“Darling, you are too thin.” She holds Layla at arms’ length and stares her up and down. “Are you eating?”

“Yes, Mom.” She rolls her eyes. “I’m always eating.”

“Well, let me go get the wine,” Laura says as she enters the house.

“I had no clue she was coming in,” Layla comments to me. “I would have warned you. Landon text and mentioned you and Carson would be coming by.”

“It’s really fine. She seems lovely,” I reply truthfully. His mom reminds me of my own, very loving.

“So, what time will Landon be home?” Laura enters the backyard with three wine classes, a bottle of wine, and a juice box for Carson. My heart swells at the simple gesture.

“I believe he said about seven, but I could be wrong,” Layla answers before I have the chance to. She sits in one of the lounge chairs closest to the pool; a large umbrella hangs over the top. I follow suit and sit beside her and Laura collapses on my other side. The backyard is a dream.

The pool is a large square, the bottom painted a dark blue so the water always appears the gorgeous color. The tile surrounding the pool is a light tan color with a gray trim that lights the outside of the pool. A hot tub sits off near one side of the pool where water overlaps into the pool. A fire pit filled with rock is next to the pergola and emits a cozy and warm feel for cooler nights.

“Kelsi?” I hear Landon’s voice from behind.

“Landon,” Carson squeals and swims to the edge. He throws himself up and over onto the tile and runs toward Landon. As I turn, I catch Landon bending down and tossing him over his shoulder as he walks toward us.

“Mom?” Landon’s eyes finally settle on the two women beside me. “What are you doing here? I didn’t know you were coming.” He’s shocked to see her.

“I should have called, but I just wanted to see my babies,” she says as she takes another sip of her red wine. “I’ve missed you both.” Landon drops Carson to his feet before closing the distance between him and his mom. He engulfs her in a hug similar to the one his sister gave her earlier.

“I guess you’ve met Kelsi?” He turns his attention to me then. “And Carson?” He gestures to my son, who is standing right beside him.

“I have, and she is as lovely as you say, son. And Carson, my goodness he is just so handsome and has the best manners for a five-year-old.”

My heart swells with pride. I’ve always tried to teach Carson to always be polite and use manners appropriately

Landon collapses onto the lounger behind me and pulls me against his chest. His arms snake around me, holding me tight. I’m slightly embarrassed by the action until I realize his sister and mom aren’t paying attention to us but focused on a trick Carson is showing them in the pool.

“I missed you,” he whispers in my ear, his words hot against my tingling skin. I’m trying really hard not to get turned on in front of his family and my son. “You look fucking sexy in this bathing suit.” I glance down at my body. I’m wearing a solid black one-piece that has a low cut in the front but the fabric crisscrosses across my chest.

I turn my head to look at him. His lips are closer than I expected, and I accidentally brush mine with his. I press mine against his again, not caring who can see us at this point.

“Ew, Mom!” Carson yells, causing me to jerk away from Landon. Landon’s mother and sister are laughing at his reaction but I’m completely embarrassed that my son witnessed that.

“I better go play with my dude.” Landon slaps the side of my thigh before standing and trotting into the house to change. I watch how his gym shorts stretch across his backside as he walks.

When I glance back to the pool, Landon’s mother and sister have gotten in with Carson. They’re all staring at me with a smile, shaking their heads.

  Chapter Fifteen

Shortly after talking with Landon about his red carpet event, Layla texted me asking me what colors I’d like to wear. I told her to surprise me and that I’d like anything she picked out. She did have amazing style.

My parents have already picked Carson up so I’m planning to stay the night at Landon’s tonight. My doorbell rings as I’m grabbing a few last-minute things for my overnight bag. I open
my front door to find Layla. She’s holding a box of shoes and has another girl with her with a large black bag thrown over her shoulder and a garment bag she’s holding high to keep from dragging the ground.

“Hi,” I say as I move out of the way for them to enter my house. I suddenly feel self-conscious of my appearance and the appearance of my house. It is most definitely not celebrity status.

“Your house is so cute, Kelsi. I love how quaint and cozy it is.” Layla moves across the small living room and runs her hand along the top of my modest sofa. “Did you decorate this yourself?” She glances around the small living room and moves toward the dining area.

“I did.” I shut the door behind the other lady and follow Layla to the dining room.

“This is Francesca. She is one of the best hair and makeup artists in the area and one of my dearest friends. She’s excited to do yours for tonight’s event.”

I turn my attention to the small woman. She stands about a foot shorter than Layla and has a pixie cut with small curls pinned in various spots over her head. Her eye makeup is dark and smoky, and she sports an extremely bright red lipstick. Her skin is pale, but not in a terrible way; it works for her.

“I’m thinking we will do your hair down. You have a really great length and I think it’ll be gorgeous paired with this dress that Layla has picked out for you. You have an amazing neck line, so I may actually sweep it to one side to expose that.” She ushers me to sit in a chair at the table. I watch as she begins unpacking the bag she’s brought with her. Tons and tons of lip colors and eyeshadows are spread across the table. She pulls out a small bag and unrolls it, revealing multiple makeup brushes. I have no idea the purpose of any of them besides the eyeshadow brush and the blush brush. That’s all I use typically. I have always worn minimal makeup and it worked for me.

I sit while Francesca applies my makeup and begins on my hair, curling my long locks and then sweeping it all to one side so it flows over my shoulder. She holds a mirror up for me, and as I open my eyes and look at my appearance, I nearly lose my breath. My makeup is gorgeous. My eyes are bright with the dark eyeshadows she used, somehow making my eyes appear bluer than they are. My lashes are long and full and frame my eyes. My lips have a dark maroon lipstick coating them that works with the contrast of my eyes.

“Wow,” I say as I continue to examine myself, my eyes moving over my hair on my shoulder. Layla holds out a small black box for me.

“These are from Landon.” She smiles as I take the box from her. When I flip the top, I gasp in shock. Two large diamond earrings sit side by side. The light in the dining room reflecting off of them cause them to sparkle. “He picked these out for you by himself.” I smile down at my gift and something warm settles in my heart.

“Thank you.” I grab an earring and slowly put it up to my ear. My hair being swept to one side was a fabulous idea to show off these gorgeous studs.

“Now, let’s get your dress on. Landon will be here in twenty minutes to pick you up.” Layla moves to where the garment bag is hanging in the opening of my kitchen. She turns the bag toward her and slowly unzips it. I’m anxious to see what she picked out and pray it’s the correct size.

When Layla pulls the garment back away, revealing a long black dress that flows at the bottom, I completely fall in love with it. I know immediately it will fit me like a glove. She turns the dress to face me and I see the diamonds that fill the neckline and chest of the dress and move downward to the floor.

“C’mon, let’s get you dressed.” I head into my bedroom with Layla and remove my clothes. Layla holds the dress out for me as I step in. I’m wearing a black lace thong so that I don’t have any underwear markings visible on my dress. Once she pulls the dress up fully, I unhook my bra, using the front of the dress to cover myself. I was fine with Layla seeing me in my underwear, but completely nude and exposed is something I’m not comfortable with.

Layla raises the sleeves of the dress up my arms and secures them around my shoulders. The back of the dress exposes my bare back down to my bottom. Landon is going to go insane over this particular part, I’m sure.

I turn my attention to Layla and smooth out the front of my dress.

“WOW!” she exclaims, causing me to blush. “You look so fucking fabulous. My brother is going to lose his shit tonight.” I glance at myself in the mirror and have to agree with her. “Here, let me have your foot.” She slips on a pair of heels that I am nervous to walk in, especially on a red carpet event where cameras will be rolling everywhere. As an elementary school teacher I typically only wear sandals and flats.

“Holy shit.” I turn to Landon’s deep voice. His eyes are focused on my body and slowly move from my feet to my eyes, and back down. He’s left no spot unnoticed. His eyes continue to roam as he slowly walks toward me; all my emotions drop straight between my legs with the way he is staring at me. His hair is messy but fixed in a way that is extremely sexy. He wears a black suit with a black undershirt and a silver tie. His muscles are hidden under his suit, but you can still tell he is completely fit. “You look beautiful, baby.”

“Thank you,” I say as his eyes meet mine. He stares a while longer before smiling wide. His sister clears her throat but is smiling from ear to ear at our exchange.

“I guess my work here is done.” She winks and leans in to hug me. “Have fun tonight. You look really great.” She hugs her brother, who kisses her cheek before she exits my room.

“I’m not sure if I want to attend this appearance now. I kind of just want to take this dress off of you.” Landon smiles and moved his hand up my side.

I wink at him before saying, “Tonight.” He groans as I walk past him and out into the hall. Layla and Francesca have already cleared out and moved my dining room chairs back to how they were originally.

I pick up the small clutch sitting on the table that Layla has left me and place the lipstick and my phone inside. I don’t want to leave it in case Carson needs me tonight. I know he’ll be fine with my parents, but you never know.

“You ready?” I turn to face Landon, who is opening the front door. When I step through, I see a large black stretch limo parked by the curb in front of my house. The chauffeur stands by the back door, waiting for us to approach.

“Ms. Fran,” he says as I step onto the curb and he opens the door of the limo. Sliding in, I move to the far side of the limo so Landon can climb in behind me.

“I’m really not going to be able to keep my hands to myself tonight,” He adds as he shifts his weight toward me, one arm on the seat behind me.

“I don’t expect you too.” I lean closer, pressing a small kiss to his lips.

“I’d really like to announce you as my girlfriend tonight. How do you feel about that?” His eyes are hooked on mine and his gaze bounces back and forth between my eyes and my lips. I think about his question. Am I ready for this? To be out in the open eye for everyone to see?

“Yes, but I’d like to keep Carson out of the spotlight a little longer.” He nods in agreement with me. “I’m just not sure how it will affect him being in the spotlight like this.”

“I understand and I agree. We can ease him into all of this.” He leans forward and brushes his lips against mine. His lips linger before he dives back in for another kiss. This time his hand hooks the back of my neck, pulling me against him, careful not to mess up my hair. His tongue darts out and touches mine. Heat pools in my spine and I squeeze my legs tighter.

“If we don’t stop, I will have this driver turn around right now.” He breaks our kiss as he speaks and smiles devilishly at me.

“So, don’t stop,” I say. His eyes grow wide and I feel so confident.

The divider is up between the front and back of the limo, so we are essentially alone.

Landon’s hand runs up my arm and settles just below my jaw. He leans in for a deep kiss, I return and begin unbuckling his dress pants. He leans back as I pull his pants down slightly.

I half stand in the limo, careful
not to mess up my makeup or hair, and wiggle the dress up. His large hands glide up my smooth legs, bunching the dress up even higher. My thong is slowly slipped down my legs, and I straddle his lap.

“Condom?” I ask as I kiss his neck. He produces one from his wallet and rips the foil package with his teeth, taking the latex and gliding it on his thick, long length. I watch, carefully biting my bottom lip, as he adjusts himself. I lift myself slightly and guide him in.

He fills me completely and I let out a gasp at the pleasure of being stretched. He kisses me before grabbing my hips and gently lifting me up and down.

The friction of our bodies combined with the idea of having limo sex makes this so much more intense and I quickly pick up the pace. I can feel him getting closer, the muscles in his arms bulging as his grips my ass.

When he hits my sensitive spot, my head falls back. He releases my ass and his thumb presses into my clit, causing me to explode around him.

My body feels like jelly as I fall against his chest, our rapid breaths in sync with each other. I raise my head slightly; his eyes catch with mine and I smile.

His crooked grin shows and I kiss the corner of his mouth.

“That was fucking hot.” He says, and I blush. I can’t believe I just had limo sex.

I rise off his lap and pull my dress back into place. He buttons his pants and tucks his shirt back in.

Everyone is going to know we did something as soon as we step out of the car tonight. I’m embarrassed thinking about it now. I pull my phone from my clutch and look at my hair.

Surprisingly, nothing is out of place and my lipstick isn’t even smudged. I smile at myself and check my teeth before tossing it back in.

The limo slowly pulls into a long line of waiting cars. With each car a group of people get out and I watch as cameras begin flashing. Some stop and smile at the cameras and chat with the reporters whereas others dart through and into the building.

“I’m so nervous all of a sudden.” I smooth my sweaty palms over my dress and try to check my appearance with my phone’s camera. Having all these people stare at me and know they are picking my appearance apart makes me want to suggest we do just turn the car around.
